Cultured Meat?

There is a project to grow meat for food not on a farm but in a lab. Scientists are using animal stem cells to grow meat for human consumption in a lab. The project is still in the proof of concept stage. But it does offer some interesting options.

At the rate we keep losing farmland to developers, lab grown food will be all that susatains us in another 100 years.

I, too, remember Soylent Green. I can't believe that was 1973. :)

The article sure didn't make the $345,000 lab burger sound too appetizing. Very interesting...

Just add some barbeque sauce, lettuce, tomato, onion, and cheese - Presto! Carl's Jr's. New Barbeque $345.000 Dollar Burger... ;)
