Hey Mickey, my wife and I have been to Bucca di Peppa a few years ago, it was GREAT! It would be sooo nice and exciting if they were to built such a restaurant here in town. Instead of our family traveling out of town I would love to love to keep my $$$$ here in Manteca. And regarding clothing stores, it'd be great to have a clothing store other than JC Penney or whatever the city had in mind bringing to the Bass Pro Shops shopping Center! In order to attract people, you want to be different and bring a different feeling/flavor to this city and give it a chance to grow. But by brining in JC Penney or any store that is your norm I can guarantee you that those stores will not attract anyone cause Modesto & Stockton have those stores already. I think 'blogs' is a good tool and the comments/opinions from the citizens of Manteca should be read and taken into consideration by this town's leaders! <crossing fingers>.

Hey Mickey....It's Bucca Di Beppo! It is an awesome restaurant...I've been to several around the USA...Pittsburgh PA being the best Bucca I have been too! I think Bucca would fit in well with the Bass Pro Shopping Center....
HereYaGo,
so i made a little mistake! big deal, I was thrilled that someone else in Manteca acknowledged that Bucca Di Beppo would be a good addition to Manteca Cuisine. It was not a diss on Mickey. Sounds like you had a bad day...we'll leave it at that...unless you find more mistakes in my response.
ciao!
Personally I've penned several columns about what Manteca needs in terms of dining options (some that have sparked a few choice comments from members of the community.) Just recently I heard that a Red Robin is in the works, and I'm still holding out for something different like a Hooter's or a Buffalo Wild Wings -- a place to spend a Sunday afternoon watching the game.
But while we're on the subject of dining options, a steakhouse of any kind would be a welcome option, and another privately owned business -- like Kelley Bros. -- would be an amazing addition.
There's no doubt we have a shortage of everything but McDonald's, Jack in the Box, Carl's Jr, taquerias, and Oriental cuisine.
A change of pace -- and flavor -- would be a welcome addition to the palate.
