Take Me To Post Comment Form If you don't know already, the occupy wall street movement has spread to numerous cities across the country, one of the most recent being Phoenix, Arizona. Now it is not surprising to see right-wing counter-protesters show up to counter the movement. What some would find surprising(I find it extremely predictable) is that some of the right-wingers showing up to counter-protest showed up with guns and were covered head to toe in military fatigue. Link below will be an article showing a picture of these goose-stepping fascists and explaining the bizarre interaction between the protesters and counter-protesters. And before you say "but they are part of the National SOCIALIST Movement, they can't be right-wing" (National "Socialists" of course means Nazis if the reader also didn't know this) why do you think a supposedly leftist, socialist, group would show up to counter-protest a movement that is against wall street? Why are they so keen to also physically attack socialists, communists, anarchists, and liberals? Fascists(which the Nazis are a variant of) have historically shown up in instances of extreme class conflict to put down workers struggles, to physically attack striking workers, to physically attack workers marching, to physically attack union organizers, to physically attack left-wing political leaders in the name of unity and order.

But I want to bring up the hypocrisy of many on the right who want to talk about "hateful", "violent", leftists (many of whom are pacifists and wouldn't raise their voices against even armed fascist gangs trying to intimidate people as the article shows) who show up unarmed to rallies while trying to act like everybody on the right is so damn innocent and wouldn't be hateful or violent towards anyone. When right-wing people arm themselves at presidential events, Tea Party rallies, and left-wing protests, and show up with signs like "We've come unarmed...THIS TIME" they're patriotic citizens exercising their 1st and 2nd amendment rights! When people on the left protest, unarmed, the narrative is they're a mob, they're violent, they're dangerous, they want to eat your baby, etc.

The right had a huge fit when our government said there might be a danger coming from right-wing extremists. And that was after a few foiled assassination plots against Obama by racist right-wing extremists, a killing spree by a neo-Nazi who was upset over Obama getting elected, and a few times where police were shot trying to enter homes because the people were in a paranoid frenzy thinking the police were coming to take their guns. After the right had their fit and the administration basically had that report retracted we have had the incident where that guy was planning on shooting up a bunch of people at the Tides Foundation because of right-wing hysteria about them, a militia leader caught with grenade launchers when he was arrested for molestation, a foiled plan by a fundamentalist Christian militia who were going to bomb a cops funeral, and more. But no, there is no danger from right-wing extremists and to say such a thing is unpatriotic, un-American, and all it is is people on the left trying to make those on the right look bad.

Now just imagine for one second people showing up at these "Occupy" movements armed with semi-automatic rifles and head to toe covered in military fatigue. Imagine a rise in left-wing militias with various left-wing militia leaders being arrested because they had grenade launchers and things of that sort. We would face a storm of oppression and the fascists would be shooting at us(as had happened in the past when some anti-racist protesters showed up with guns, the Nazis/KKK would shoot and kill them). But it is us, the left, that are the violent, hate filled, individuals? Who are the ones showing up to protest/counter-protest people trying to intimidate them with guns while dressed up in military style outfits? None of the veterans or soldiers showing up in leftist rallies are coming with their guns, no communist, socialist, anarchist, liberal is showing up at protests with guns...
