Take Me To Post Comment Form

Hello everyone on this forum. Ever since the web page has been redesigned, I have struggled to try and see the changes as an improvement. At first, I didn't like the new design at all and hoped that, with time, I would get more used to it and see some advantages, but no luck so far. Instead, this new web design continues to be a challenge, at best, and at worst, annoying and frustrating for me with my admittedly substandard and novice computer skills. I won't bore everyone with a list of all the things that I dislike about the redesign, but will focus on one aspect. The new set-up for blogs is quite limited and only shows a few postings on each page. The trouble is, when some blogger decides to be over zealous and post 4,5, 6 or more blogs in the space of a day, it monopolizes the first pages of the forum, knocking other people's submissions off. Readers respond by "bumping" other posts forward, or the blogger in question "bumps" his own postings to stay on the front pages. And so a rather repetitious game of "bump-upmanship" ensues. I was glad to see this tactic used by Rozemist and YouCanDoIt (among others) to rid the front pages of spam and those other irritatingly sneaky ads which do not even string sentences together in a meaningful way. But now it is like guerrilla warfare with dots, smiley faces and one word responses employed by some to stay on the front pages and by others determined to add some variety and challenge the monopoly.

I have a suggestion. The Bulletin has a policy that written "Letters to the Editor" by the same author can not be published in the paper more frequently than once every week or two. Rather than complain to the on-line moderator (I so dislike official censorship, unless absolutely necessary), can we not agree, as an on-line community, to restrict our submissions of blogs to no more than 2 per day? There is much truth in that old adage, "quality over quantity". This would help to keep diversity in this forum and a variety of voices and viewpoints on the front pages, rather than having to go on a "search and discovery" mission in order to hunt down a blog that one was following. I am not trying to exile anyone or stifle anyone's voice, but a barrage of blogs from the same person, especially those that are merely parroting other writer's ideas, rather than original thoughts, tend to make me just boycott most of those postings, out of distaste for such "hogging" of this site by one individual. I usually don't agree with TheRightChange's opinions, but this is not about agreeing or disagreeing, it is about facilitating a fair exchange of ideas. Being buried in a barrage of postings by one individual is not conducive to this type of exchange. So what do you think about imposing self-limits? Do readers see this as too restrictive or as a workable solution? Let's discuss. Sincerely, Karen

Speaking for myself, I write my own blogs, and I can tell you from experience, I am lucky if I can write two a week, let alone two a day.

It doesn't take much in the way of time to post other people's work with modern technology, but it still takes time to learn about a subject, construct my thoughts, and then to write them out in a coherent way so that others can understand what I think about on that subject. Sometimes I write it such a way to provoke thought and conversation. I think through the construction of the blog so as to achieve my goal, and that takes time as well. Cut and paste takes no time.

If someone feels strongly about an article or someone else's opinion, write a blog on the article and how it supports your views. Add a link to the site so others can see how it supports your views, or don't add a link and just name the article or author.

If all someone wants to do is provoke a fight, and not a thought, all the mutual understandings the bloggers have amongst each other will mean nothing. I see where some just want to provoke a fight.

Good luck.

Karen I wrote out my comment already but must of accidentally deleted or who knows sent it to another blog..so will start over.
Your description of the blog being liken to guerrilla warfare with dots, smiley faces and one word responses made me laugh. And I have even taken to pasting quotes on patience, insults, anything that would help to keep a variety of blogs on the front. This is not working any better then when I fought the spam ads,and is far worse.I have had help from other bloggers, but its futile, when you have a person who is on a quest to suppress others opinions as vigorously as TheRightChange is all the bloggers in this forum cannot help.
I have never run across something like this, this person devotes around the clock to writing these things check out the time stamps on them to verify,he easily can roll off 10 ,as Sovereign said it takes no time to copy and paste, and there's no substance, thought, therefore no time has to be spent on them.
As for his writings,I find them unsettling, uncomfortable, such titles as "Obama is Like a Manure Spreader in a Windstorm" "Obama Condones Rape and Murder of a Child" For TheRightChange to write this in regards to the President Of Our United States,no matter if he be Republican,or Democrat is so offensive.
Funny how that type of offensiveness can run rampant but another forum member will be deleted in the blink of an eye.I will never understand that some in the forum have free reign to say whatever comes to there minds, with no thought of respect or decency, while another (which to this day I still do not understand what was said so badly) that warranted banishment forever.
Discipline should be distributed equally.
However having said that(I got slightly off track) TheRightChange is entitled to his opinion ,even tho he doesn't allow other bloggers the luxury of theirs.
I find your suggestion Karen to a limit of 2 blogs a day extremely fair. And its my belief that sincere bloggers will feel the same, but its my opinion you will not find cooperation from one person in particular. And another problem what's to stop this blogger from doing what he has already been doing for weeks, moving his old and new "writings" to the front where you have to search back forever to find anothers blogs..You see what I mean? Its whatever his agenda is ,and it doesn't seem to be about fair, being civil,or being a team member.
But Karen your voice is always the voice of reason, and sanity,if anyone can convince him it might just be you.
Thanks you for a great idea,I really hope it can work.

I think the two per day proposal is a great idea. The other option might be to include an "ignore" feature in the user profiles. Meaning you can select certain user id's whose posts will not even show up in your display.

The easiest solution might be to just allow an option so that those fortunate enough to have the computer bandwidth can list as many blog entries on the first page as they want. Kind of like the shopping websites where you can specify whether you want 10 items or 100 items shown on each page.

These should be fairly simple changes to make and any of them would make the forum more user friendly for everyone.

rozemist commented on Saturday, Jul 09, 2011 at 14:55 PM

I don't know how much the Manteca Bulletin is going to want to go way out of their way just to accommodate the blog area, the staff already are doing their regular duties plus doing the monitoring my guess is they might be stretched thin.
Can't be that many people there ya think, very small building.
anthony002 that "ignore" feature in the user profiles" excellent idea.If only it were possible ,that just might solve the entire problem.

TheSovereign commented on Saturday, Jul 09, 2011 at 14:55 PM

Ah... we're talking about the MB, have you seen their website? Do you really think they have the ability to add any kind of constructive features to these blogs?

rozemist commented on Saturday, Jul 09, 2011 at 15:03 PM

See that's my point Sovereign,I don't think so either.

As I write this (and I realize that things can change any minute now) the first two pages of this on-line forum are filled with a diverse selection of posts from various authors. Isn't that great? That is all I was hoping for - a mix of ideas and opinions from different voices. It makes it so much easier to pick and choose which blogs perk my interest or ones that I want to comment on. Thank you to all who have contributed to this forum. Sincerely, Karen

rozemist commented on Sunday, Jul 10, 2011 at 14:36 PM

You see Karen how quickly this changed.
TRC has an agenda, he is not a person who will agree to your suggestion or anyone's it is his purpose to create friction within the forum, well for lack of the right words he is a trouble maker.
Not because his views are different then mine,or others, not because he shows such a lack of respect for online civility, but because his purpose is to cause trouble for others for no other reason then that they do not share his opinions, or maybe he simply likes to cause problems period without any reason at all.
There is something about the style of his online comments that is familiar and I haven't quite figured it out yet ,but am working on it.Its been nagging at me,but keeps escaping me.
I fear we are in for this type of thing until TRC decides he's bored with it all.
Because I won't hold out on the hope he will start behaving differently towards fellow members.

rozemist commented on Sunday, Jul 10, 2011 at 14:46 PM

Karen if you were wondering what I was talking about because I did not pin point that..it was that when I got online I noticed as usual TRC had all 3 spaces taken with his "writing" Only! and had on others of his moved forward.I expected no less in that he would be consistent

rozemist commented on Sunday, Jul 10, 2011 at 17:32 PM

anthony002 commented on Sunday, Jul 10, 2011 at 21:09 PM

I would just like to pose a question to those who tend to agree with TRC's opinions.

If I or any other liberal on this blog, routinely just copied word-for-word, material from daily kos or huffingtonpost etc without any attribution to the original source, would you not criticize that behavior?

Trying to eliminate plagiarism is not censorship. Personally, I would never defend plagiarized opinion pieces (much less hailing it as the "truth") under any circumstances no matter how much I might agree with the plagiarized material.

I would also ask you folks if you think this blog would be a better forum for communication if ALL of us used the same tactics as TRC, just copy from one of our favorite websites that publishes opinions we agree with.

Do you honestly believe that if we all did that, this forum would improve?

It certainly would be easy..

Here is a copy/paste from a leftist website. Just consider for a moment, your reaction if I pretended that these were my original comments. Then someone in agreement with me comes behind me and hails it as "the truth". Later you come across the original material elsewhere on the web. If you would criticize that if I did it, why is it censorship to criticize such behavior on the part of someone who shares your views? Is that really the level of discourse you desire? copy/paste, rubber-stamp?

Can we not agree on some minimal level of conduct in this forum, regardless of political ideology? Or is the concept of objective standards, a lost cause and plagiarism is perfectly acceptable as long as it supports your political viewpoint?

Personally I don't understand the value of copying someone else's opinion, or what possible satisfaction it could provide. Kind of like watching somebody else eat a steak dinner when I'm hungry. I would rather do it myself.

Here's my plagiarism for the day courtesy of crooksandliars.com

"""In the wake of John Boehner's pullout from the budget talks, Bill Daley came on Christiane Amanpour's show this morning to address the state of negotiations, where the Democrats stand, and what the president believes needs to be done to restore confidence in the economy.

It is the first time I've heard a clear message coming from the White House in ages. Whatever Daley's leanings are, he succeeded in getting these key points across:
Democrats are not using Social Security as a deficit reduction tool
Social Security and Medicare do need shoring up, but not at the expense of beneficiaries.
Jobs are tied to uncertainty about the economy, which is why it's important to do something more than apply a bandaid.
If corporate America wants certainty, they can step up and put some pressure on the DC lunatics to get this done.

Daley sent the whistle out loud and clear to Wall Street and the rest of the business community: If you want certainty and a deal, step on the people who are holding it up. (That would be the Republicans, in case you doubted that)"""

rozemist commented on Sunday, Jul 10, 2011 at 23:15 PM

Plagiarism is NOT acceptable. If it were against the Law TRC would already of been in deep trouble by now.
And at the very least of kicked off the forum for breaking what I would believe to be a serious violation of forum rules,Plagiarism in any form should not be tolerated.
To not allow Plagerism is not to condone censorship as TRC would have us believe we are trying to silence "his truth" which is ironic he has no truth, this is all someone else' s truth which he not truthfully given credit for using.
He is however not out of the woods,I have told him he does not live in a vacuum, the Manteca Bulletin is not some paper that just Mantecans read..that should give him something to think on lest he keeps forgetting to "cite his sources"
If everyone did a blog by copying and pasting and nothing else then it would not be a blog!
This is why I have not referred to what he does as blogging, nor do I even comment on any of what he "does"
Your answer anthony would our forum improve if we all did this,"NO",I did not have to think on that for one second.
As far as anyone agreeing with TRC I think you have YCDI and..............who?
I'm not taking a political stance here, this as gone far beyond left or right politics. This is wrong on levels that do not even touch Politics.

KarenPearsall commented on Monday, Jul 11, 2011 at 01:35 AM

Hello TheRightChange, To suggest that people limit their blog submissions to no more than 2 per day is not meant as censorship. Rather it is to ensure that this site has a range of different voices and viewpoints and that no one person dominates the forum. Do not try to play the helpless victim card or claim that everyone is picking on you or trying to suppress your opinions. Writers from all political affiliations are free to create a blog or enter discussions on this forum. I did not create this blog to "silence" you, but only did so to point out the need to share this forum and keep it open to diverse ideas and opinions.

Where you have rightly been criticized is for your tendency to cut and paste other writer's words without proper citation. Even YouCanDoIt, who shares many of your political opinions, admitted that this was unacceptable. You have attempted to rectify this, on occasion. You just need to be more consistent in your endeavor. Sincerely, Karen

Your welcome,and goodnight

rozemist commented on Saturday, Jul 16, 2011 at 12:15 PM

I would respectfully like to appeal to everyone if we could take Karens advice and have a variety of blogs on the front page by being fair and creating no more then 2 a day,I noticed this morning one person had all 3 and one (to spare) I'm starting to observe a familiar pattern and I hope I'm wrong.
This is monopolizing and it's unfair to other's.
I think if other bloggers will work "together" on this we can keep 3 different blogs on the front by cooperation, this way we do not have to go searching for all the most current blogs by different people instead of having to view all of one persons only.
Karen's advice is sound and fair. It's not censoring anyone,(as I'm sure that is going to pop up somewhere) but rather being a team player and giving others a chance to have their blogs displayed for more then 10 seconds.
To do this with cooperation will keep others from having to bump a variety toward the front.

rozemist commented on Saturday, Jul 16, 2011 at 12:26 PM

And I might add I would hope the Bulletin will consider the "ignore" feature that "anthony002 brought up in his above comment,to be able to select certain user id's whose posts will not even show up in your display" would be the absolute solution to this problem.
Maybe the Manteca Bulletin will think on this and decide its a good way to go.

rozemist commented on Saturday, Jul 16, 2011 at 15:29 PM

Ok so I tried to appeal to common courtesy ,that didn't work,we the know who is not going to be cooperative do we not?
Just renews what I suspected ,all too familiar right??
I don't have to say a thing, but wait and see how long it will take the MB to tag this person.

rozemist commented on Saturday, Jul 16, 2011 at 20:27 PM

Your so right ,but I always try to appeal to courtesy first, even when I knew it was a lost cause.
I think the ignore button is a super idea I may write a letter to the Manteca Bulletin to see what they think of it,maybe they might even like it ,it would certainly weed out the problems like we have been having, therefore making their jobs a little less troublesome.Just push a button and Ignore!Because when you just ignore these type of individuals by not commenting to them, you can see what happens they get very desperate and resort to insults hoping that will get them the attention they seek.

rozemist commented on Saturday, Jul 16, 2011 at 20:58 PM

rozemist commented on Saturday, Jul 16, 2011 at 21:19 PM

got the letter off to the Bulletin asking them to give some thought to the ignore button.
The Bulletin has been extremely good in their timely responses ,look how quickly they acted this week.
One thing I have observed is it doesn't matter how many log in names banned individuals come up with, the Bulletin always finds out who they are and acts on it.

Hello TheMason, Whom are you referring to as "the two faced liar on here"? You ask rozemist who she is and for an explanation of her remarks and then you end with your own puzzling and cryptic comment. I also look forward to you providing your own identity, since you expect other posters to tell you who they are. Sincerely, Karen

KarenPearsall commented on Saturday, Jul 16, 2011 at 23:51 PM

Hello TheMason, You have avoided my question about "the two faced liar". Also, no one "got" TheRightChange removed. He was apparently removed because of his own words and actions. To believe otherwise is to admit that someone "got" mhoffman deleted, rather than accepting that his own postings or other contact resulted in his suspension. Your assertion about Anthony, a blogger for whom I have the greatest respect, is incorrect. Among all who post on this forum, he is the one who most scrupulously backs up his facts with cited sources. He does not "make thinks up out of thin air", a criticism he reserves for those who post out of hatred, with no concrete facts, no acknowledged or credible sources, and the outlandish claim that "my argument can't be broken". Go back and re-read his postings, if you doubt this. Sincerely, Karen

rozemist commented on Saturday, Jul 16, 2011 at 23:51 PM

I accidently posted this on TheMasons ,sorry I never did post on his/theres/before ,feel like I have done myself a great wrong for sure.I'll chalk it up to my old age..lol
Hi Karen, since we are bringing up similarity's in style, and moving blogs, let's also include HopeAndChange, who also liked to add smileys, dots, bump, all sorts of things to keep "his' on the front, which is far different then trying to keep
"variety" on the front.
There are so many it's getting hard to keep track. But TheMason likes to use my name to do it,it would seem.

KarenPearsall commented on Sunday, Jul 17, 2011 at 13:54 PM

Sorry, everyone, for my unsatisfactory proofreading. The quote in my above post should have been, "make things up out of thin air" not "make thinks up..."

Hello YouCanDoIt, The difference about the "outcry", or lack thereof, was that so-called "liberal" posters were not purposely trying to dominate the blog site or "bump" their own submissions forward to keep them on the front page. For a long time, very few people actually bothered to create blogs on this site. Now there are more contributors. As I've repeatedly stated, I think diversity and a variety of viewpoints on this on-line forum make it more thought-provoking and encourage debate and rebuttals. But a flood of copy and paste submissions by the same person makes this site far less interesting. You have a valid point that we should all be willing to search this forum for the blogs that interest us, but then doesn't it make a poster who "bumps" his own blog, in order to stay on the front page, seem a little desperate and needy? It is not like he is adding anything relevant to his original posting. At least that would be understandable.

Lastly, it is very curious how TheMason makes unsubstantiated accusations ("two faced liar") and when confronted avoids a direct answer and diverts the topic to "the race card". Isn't that tactic one of "Alinsky's rules" that are often mentioned by canative62? Sincerely, Karen

KarenPearsall commented on Sunday, Jul 17, 2011 at 19:34 PM

Hello TheMason, Thank you for directly answering my question. The fact that you have accused two posters (try_thinking and revengeofmomo) of being "the two faced liar" (and wouldn't that be "liars", plural?) does not, as you ask, "make me happy". But I am glad that you are no longer skirting the question. However, your answer has just spurred me to ask more questions in order to try and understand your thought process here. Let's just focus on revengeofmomo, for now. He wrote a blog condemning some of TheRightChanges' comments as racist. The examples he chose from TheRightChange's posts were, "Most minorities don't want to learn. They just want to sell drugs and live on welfare..." and "(from my experience) most minority graduates can not read or make change". On one of your recent blogs, revengeofmomo asked you, in order to gauge your opinion, "How do you feel about minorities and their ability to read?", to which you responded, "What does being a minority have anything to do with the ability to read." I like your answer but am confused. If you really feel this way, it would seem that you contradict what TheRightChange posted and so why would you call revengeofmomo a "two faced liar"? You acknowledge that race has nothing to do with the ability to read, therefore TheRightChange's assertion that "most minority graduates can not read" does come across as racist. If he had said, "(in my experience) most recent graduates can not read or make change", we could argue his point, but would not be able to upbraid him for racial overtones.

So my question is this: Can you explain how revengeofmomo's blog calling out TheRightChange's racial comments makes him a "two faced liar"? I don't even see how you could consider him a liar in the first place, but you compound your error with the label "two faced". "Two faced" implies that a person says one thing but does another or has double standards. Why do you feel revengofmomo merits this accusation? After reading his postings, I have never thought to myself, "Well, that certainly is two faced of him!" Can you cite some examples?

Finally, TheRightChange defended his words as not being racist because they were, in his eyes, "true". But making derogatory generalizations based solely on race IS racist, regardless of whether or not the writer feels his opinion and remarks are justified. Sincerely, Karen

rozemist commented on Sunday, Jul 17, 2011 at 20:14 PM

Hi try_thinking
On someones "writing" you asked this question
"In all honesty, the obsession YouCanDoIt seems to have with rozemist is quote unsettling. The fact that the Bulletin allows such activity that is CLEARLY against the posted rules while vigilantly deleting my posts for seemingly no good reason is bias defined.:
Please let me clarify for you but the person who has a obsession problem is another member of this forum.YCDI just seems to go along with this persons postings but has never "obsessed"over me...
You want to know why the person seems to get away with this unsettling behavior, let me be clear that he isn't..this is the weekend ,and monitoring is probably not being as strict as during the week.I'm not upset about this as the Bulletin has been swift in taking action when its been observed by them, tomorrow will be Monday,a new day to the beginning of a new week.
As to the deletions of your post I can not speculate on that, other then to say this other person has had all his posts deleted, and will again if the Bulletin recognizes him as the person who was "removed"
So it doesn't appear as tho the Bulletin has ignored his post while deleting yours, they just haven't observed them yet.

rozemist commented on Sunday, Jul 17, 2011 at 20:34 PM

I read another remark of yours
"Lesson learned. Don't post personal info at a social web page if you want to maintain online anonymity."
I thought you said you didn't condone criminal behavior!
So basically what your saying is its ok to take information from one website and post on another website with the intent to maliciously embarrass, harass ,frighten, intimidate, need I go further YCDI?
I have watched you do this sort of thing so many times before, defend despicable behavior on the one hand, then on the other try to insinuate "you do not approve of it."
I find that you think this person had the right to hijack my information from a website to post publicly in this forum insulting to say the least, and puts to rest what I have suspected about you for a very long time.
I think all the times in the past you have made very questionable remarks to others and claimed you were joking,or didn't mean it that way,was exactly how you intended for it to be taken.
Remember the Deliverance comment to mhoffman..lets not forget that one.
That you think "my information" belongs to TheRightChange,HopeAndChange, and all who follow him in their many alias are within their rights to post that in a public forum without my consent, and to do it to hurt me says quite alot about you ..and that is the lesson I learned from you

KarenPearsall commented on Sunday, Jul 17, 2011 at 20:53 PM

HelloTheMason, Seriously? The term "minorities" is not, in itself derogatory. But when you couple it with negative, judgmental phrases such as "most minorities are lazy", "most minorities are stupid" or, directly quoting TheRightChange, "Most minorities don't want to learn. They just want to sell drugs or live on welfare", then the context lends itself to the charge of racist comment. Here is another way to look at it: substitute the word "women" for the word "minorities", so that it would read, "Most women don't want to learn. They just want to sell drugs and live on welfare". Can you recognize how sexist (rather than racist) this sounds? I hope this clarified things for you. Sincerely, Karen

KarenPearsall commented on Sunday, Jul 17, 2011 at 21:12 PM

Hello rozemist, I also took offense at YouCanDoIt's observation. If you had posted private info on THIS website, I could see his point. But the fact that someone (TheRightChange)did an internet search to dredge up personal statistics on you and then used these statistics simply to try and unnerve you on this site, when none of the information (age or astrological sign) was pertinent to the discussions, is beyond disturbing and should not be excused in any way. Although this example is obviously not as extreme as in rape cases, it follows that old (and I had thought, outdated) pattern of "blaming the victim" such as, "you shouldn't have dressed so provocatively" or in this instance, "you shouldn't have posted any personal info on any other on-line website". The argument being: it is partly YOUR fault - you share the blame for the perpetrator's bad behavior. I completely reject that line of reasoning and I hope you see it for the sham that it is, whether in physical or emotional abuse cases. I will not be silent when I see intentional emotional distress being inflicted on someone who has done nothing to merit such treatment. This is far worse, in my opinion, than the back and forth insult fest that some posters engage in. Sincerely, Karen

rozemist commented on Sunday, Jul 17, 2011 at 21:59 PM

@ Karen
yes your exactly right,YCDI's comment is in fact "blaming me" for the reprehensible behavior of this other member .
When it first happened he went so far as to tell me I owed this "person an apology" ,then tried to smooth out what he had said by saying I misunderstood what he had commented. No I didn't misunderstand then, and I didn't misunderstand now.
What his words really mean is that its my fault that I had information on this social website and not to blame this other person for "stealing this info" and posting on a public forum where I have a private profile.
This info was my screen name, age, and astrology sign..ok folks that's it.. but nevertheless it was not given to anyone to use ,or post in anyways,it was stolen and used to harass me,intimidate me,and by YCDI's statements he has shown me he supports this type of behavior.Because he doesn't see any wrong in it.Wrong is wrong whether someone is the person inflicting the hurt,or the one who stands by and participates in the hurting .
YCDI's comments are a form of participation in what was done.just as wrong as the person who caused it.
And yes Karen I do see it for the sham it is.
I say shame on them,both!
I want to thank you again for your support during this.

rozemist commented on Sunday, Jul 17, 2011 at 23:42 PM

And I as well am free to express mine.
I think you need to read Bull153 comment in it's entirety
You assassinate my character YCDI by your comments that infer it was "my fault" and I owed TRC,and all his alias "an apology"
I should apologize to someone who has been trying to get information about me by "researching me" me on the internet, this is the height of crossing the line.
This blog has indeed deteriorated to a "online harasser" who takes great pleasure in causing someone to feel uncomfortable and worried about why would someone be so obsessed with the identity of a online member who has chosen to hide her Profile within this forum.
Your remarks at blaming me for this persons online conduct is wrong.
Think about it for one second what if someone were to do this to your daughter, your granddaughter, your son ,would you turn to them and say what you said to me ,a stranger yes,but still a person. What if someone was out there YCDI researching you ,looking to see what they could find to frighten you,to embarrass you,how then might you feel.
Screen name, age and astrology sign may not seem like much to you,but what you have missed by a mile is the intent behind what this person did. That you see no wrong in this is beyond baffling.
I've said all I'm going to say on this we are not going to agree and there's no point continuing.

Thank you bull153, for your thoughtful contribution. I find it increasing hard to fathom the reasoning (or more like lack of reasoning)from TheMason. I have asked for an explanation on why he is calling revengeofmomo a "two faced liar". Of course, as YouCanDoIt noted, we all have the right to our own opinions and opinions differ, but I believe that one should not cast aspersions on someone's character without even providing any supporting facts or back-up. On TheMason's blog, revengeofmomo again confronted TheMason and asked why he was calling him a liar and why he was defending TheRightChange's racist words. His response was so twisted and mind boggling that you need to read it in all its logic-defying splendor. It is really unbelievable! Hopefully, he will think about this issue a bit longer and offer a more well-reasoned explanation. Sincerely, Karen

Benjamin Franklin

It seems to me the best answer is one of the oldest, my parents taught me to treat people like I wanted to be treated. Common sense and courtesy go a long way.

“Common sense is the knack of seeing things as they are, and doing things as they ought to be done.”
C. E. Stowe

“Courtesy is a small act but it packs a mighty wallop”

Again its time to bring up what Karen had put fourth in her Blog
Is there anything unfair to a suggestion of 2 blogs per day ? If anyone thinks this unfair please give a reason and maybe it can be discussed within the forum community or maybe somebody can come up with a better idea,we are all open to ideas if you have them.
I feel 2 blogs is extremely fair,(its hard enough for most bloggers to even come up with 1 blog in a weeks time ,as so much thought has to go into them,or at least should)and it gives other people a chance to contribute as well without having the same things posted that amount to nothing more then copy and paste with no thoughts from the Author of these Post themselves.

I think its time the forum members stepped up and took some responsibility for the forum they are a part of ,by Not participating in arguments with "Banned people" who seem to be the only ones who come to this forum with the intent of creating problems for the members and the Bulletin itself, especially for the Bulletin.
What good would an ignore feature do if people wouldn't use it.
We have that option ourselves, its called No Response, and until another solution comes along its worth a try.
These Individuals can overflow our forum with blogs that are unlimited in number, and lack anything substantial in content other then copy and paste ,but that doesn't mean we have to read them,or comment on them.Just saying....

Rozemist, your posts make sense to me. I'm a little bit nervous about posting a blog. I may try one if I can come up with a subject people might like. A limit of two a day is fine with me.

After last week and what I am seeing today I think ignoring known troublemakers is a good idea. They want attention and will respond to anything whether it is good or bad. I will try your 'no response' option.

Have a great weekend. Randy

I'm not sure I want to post a blog given what I've seen this weekend. Maybe I'll try after these people that are banned are removed.

Cheers, Randy

As of 10:00 PM PDT, our banned troublemakers and their vile posts have been removed... Thank you MB!!!

Bull153 commented on Monday, Aug 29, 2011 at 02:48 AM

Tsk, tsk... another violation of the terms... so sad. Well, in a few hours he'll be history again and I won't. That is proof enough for me... ;)

Bull153 commented on Monday, Aug 29, 2011 at 03:09 AM

I want to make sure I get this right. If I can prove I was NOT banned you will not only eat your hat but also share why you were banned? I'd like to think you are serious, but you've never been honest in the past, so I have my doubts.
