Take Me To Post Comment Form I saw a number of Stockton PD patrol cars as I was driving in various areas of Manteca today, which isn't often. That got me thinking about our neighbors to the north and the financial issues that they are facing. Why are they here? Do they have the money to afford sending them here? I even saw SPD pulling over a car at one point of my driving leisure in Manteca.

We are not like the bay area where city lines are blurred and mutual aide comes from 3 different departments. SPD is approximately 9 miles away from their city limits!

So comes the speculation. Is Manteca in a financial bind that SPD has come to lend a hand? Was there a funeral for one of their own, unbeknownst to our citizens of Manteca? Have I become a hermet unaware of the issues facing our beloved City of Manteca that Mutual Aide is necessary? Perhaps a big sting that needed the majority of our PD?

If Manteca is in a financial bind, I ask my fellow Mantecans to spend your money here! Our tax dollars should stay within Manteca so we can fund our programs and services. Need clothes? Old Navy, JCPenny, Kohl's, and a number of fine retailers are here! Need food? We have grocery stores. Office supplies, furniture for your home, tools for your shop? Check, check and check! Please Mantecans! Our city has taken care of us with shelther, food, and jobs. Let us take care of Manteca.

As far as the other issues, I didn't know and maybe I am a hermet.
