I went to Tommy's the other day with my husband, now mind you it wasn't busy, it was about 2pm that we went, we had to sit in the bar, not our choice! After about 10 minutes we were finally greeted by the bartender, who didn't seem to have time for us as we were not "regulars" after we placed our order - mine was a cobb salad and my husbands was a hamburger (which he requested to have wrapped in lettuce instead of the bun)
My salad was #1-not cold #2-half the size of the last one that I got when Tommy's first opened
My husbands hamburger was so greasy that the lettuce wrap was discolored and rather disgusting!
We had continually ask for drink refills -
I can tell you it will be awhile before we return - we aren't regulars and don't plan on being ones - but we should be treated with the same care and respect that "regulars" get - we pay for service and good quality food and should get both!
Unfortunately Tommy's failed provide it for us.

I have also experienced the same lack of customer service while trying to dine there. I will not return for more of the same.

Well it's good to know. I will never go there to begin with. After being part of the crew renovating tha place and being promised free meals and drinks for the effort -we saw nothing. With service like that the place will never last.

It's too bad that you had a bad experience there. My wife and I have always been happy with the service and the portions.

The staff is always friendly, and the owner makes it a point to greet people at their tables when he is there. By the second time going there he had remembered our names, and always makes it a point to stop and talk with us.

Every place has a bad night now and again.

I would recommend Tommy's to anyone.

The first time I went to tommy's it was a very pleasant experience! The portions were huge, the staff was friendly and courteous.

The other night, my wife and I were hungry and didn't feel like going somewhere 'normal'. Since we'd only been to tommy's once before, we decided to give it a second go.

This experience was the exact opposite of what the first was.

It was at night, roughly 8:30 p.m. The place was occupied by mostly people in their 20s or 30s, all enjoying themselves, this didn't bother us one bit. We were also sat in the bar area, which again, didn't really bother us.

However, what we were bothered by, was the staff that was there was hardly recognizable amongst all the others people socializing there. The music was so loud you could hardly speak to someone accross from you.

We were generally displeased, but we could still push those feelings aside and enjoy our meal. But then, something else happened. The music was turned even louder and it was music that was extremely obscene! The lyrics were not appropriate for a family restaurant.

I am not saying I will give up on Tommy's and I hope that this incident was an isolated one. Should we choose to visit again, and this situation repeats itself in any manner, not only will we never return, we will make sure to let our friends and family know not to as well.

Tommy had OK Service, but going down hill, visit with the family on a few occassion and we received pretty good service, but lately the service was little poor. Did not feel welcome, acknowlege, or part of the main stream Tommy's crowd, will not return, Waiting for RED ROBIN to grace me for my next sit down meal.
